I 3D printet the holding plate yesterday and it is very promissing. In fact I want to modify the project to use a generic Motherboard with Power and Ethernet and 6/8 custom sub-modules. I will complete the desctop D-Sub 9, but replace the analogue board with an analogue module + a generic motherboard because users can then plug in 6 custom modules as needed.
A generic motherboard + sub-modules will drive cost a little, but the objective here is that doers then can assemble what they need and configure SW very fast for their own projects and sit back with a small box that is waterproof and can take absorb shock and vibrations – I have a little secret for the later 🙂
